The Coach
Leadership that doesn't cost you yourself.
Everyone can lose weight. Eat less than you burn. Everyone can build wealth. Spend less than you earn.
Simple formulas. Millions of people know them.
And still don't do them. Not because they're lazy. Not because they don't want it badly enough.
Because knowing the formula was never the problem.
Think of it like this: you can have the best software in the world — the perfect diet plan, the perfect leadership habit, the perfect five-step process — but if you try installing it on Windows Vista, it runs slow. Glitches. Sometimes it won't open at all.
Not because the software's broken. Because the operating system underneath it can't run it properly.
Identity is the operating system. Behaviour is the software you're trying to install.
Most advice for leaders — for anyone — hands you better software. Better habits, better frameworks, better five-step plans. But if the identity underneath hasn't changed, the behaviour glitches the same way it always has.
That's what BLOOM does. Not another app to install. The upgrade underneath, so the formula you already know can finally run.
My story
Hey, I'm Eran. Father of three, husband, and, after a good many years, a genuine lover of Vegemite. Before most of the titles I have carried, I was a DJ. In my eyes I was the one responsible to play anything that lifts the room. I spent years reading a crowd from behind the decks, feeling the shift before it happened and knowing what to play next. It turns out that is not far from what I do now.
I don't have it all figured out either. I moved to Australia at thirty, with no real language, no friends, and no job, just a loneliness that sat with me even in a room full of people. I can't do this, I remember thinking. Maybe this was a mistake. Years later, in a career I had been so sure I wanted, the same voice came back: maybe this isn't for me.
Two moments, almost the same words, and the opposite answer each time. The first time, that voice was wrong — staying was exactly what I needed. The second time, it was right — leaving was the honest call. It took me a long time, and a lot of getting it wrong, to learn how to tell the difference. That is most of what I do now, and I love it more than anything I have done before.
Not telling people what to do, but helping them build an honest relationship with that voice, so when it shows up, they know how to listen. You will probably feel how much I mean that fairly quickly.
One thing I'll own
I care, probably more than is sensible. It took me years to learn to hold that well — to be fully in your corner and still hold the line so the work stays yours. I would rather lead with that than pretend I am cooler than I am.
Beyond the work
Because joy is not something you earn later, I also run a little coffee trailer called Get Frothed. No funnel, no pitch, just good coffee and good people — community for the simple pleasure of it.
"Fun only ever happens now. So does courage, and change, and the first step you almost keep taking."
— Eran
